Openwork Surveying has been launched, a new online solution that helps clients to purchase their property with confidence.
In partnership with Legal & General Surveying Services (LGSS), Openwork Surveying will provide clients with access to specialist surveyors across England, Wales and Northern Ireland, who are focused on undertaking HomeBuyer Reports and building surveys.
Many lenders are now choosing to only undertake a valuation on properties, leaving borrowers to organise their own survey or take the risk of proceeding with their purchase without one. It is an adviser’s duty to ensure clients are aware that the lender’s valuation is not undertaken for their benefit, but simply provides the lender with an understanding of the property’s value in the event of reposession. Openwork Surveying seeks to address this, helping to ensure that the client knows exactly what they are getting for their money.
